Clinton Lions Club

Procedure for bringing in a new Lions Club Member

1. Obtain a membership application from Lions Club Secretary.

2. Fill out application as much as you can without asking any questions of the prospective new member.

3. Present application to Secretary of Lions Club.

4. Secretary will bring application before the Board of Directors for discussion and a vote on membership approval.

5. Secretary will notify the sponser of the vote of the Board of Directors. (If for some reason the application was denied, the potential new member should not even know that they were under consideration for membership.)

6. If the application was approved the potential new member can be invited to a meeting to see what Lions is all about. Then when they are asked to join it becomes their decision whether they would like to become a part of the organization.

Prior to considering someone as a potential new member please ask and answer the following three questions about this person.

1. Is this person in a financial position to pay their annual dues and purchase their supper (approximately 14 times per year).
2. Will this person attend all our meetings.
3. Will this person be willing and able to help at fair time.

If the answer to these questions is yes, you are probably considering someone that will become a truly good Lion
