Long Range Planning Committee

Attended by: Blynn G., Keith G., Jane B., Bruce K., Bud S., John R., Steve T., Bill L., Brant W. Chairman

·        New H.D.- F.F.- Office Bldg. will be discussed at Building Committee meeting on Jan 30.

·        Land acquisition efforts; L.R.P. will continue to pursue both the Foley and the Riding Club properties.

·         Outside Information Booth; Consensus is that it should be an addition on the right of the garage door of the Pavilion. This will also be discussed further at the Jan. 30 meeting.

·        Memorial Garden and Lion; Looking for space on the fairgrounds, also to include picnic tables, shade trees etc.

·        Grill for Hot Dog Stand; New one costs $3500. Be on the lookout for a good used one.

·        Remove debris from islet C. and D.; This area could be made more useful by removing (or burying) all the big rocks and grading the area.

·        Plant trees for future shade; Looking for more input, planting time is April – May.

·        Rename Leos Booth; Lions Jan 23 meeting says “Outback Snack Shack”

·        Other items; At the Mechanical Pulling Area it was decided to move the entry gate closer to track to provide a wider walkway into Snack Shack bleachers area.
